Therapy is an act of self-love.
It is a step toward understanding, healing, and growing in ways that can truly transform your life.
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, cultural awareness, and a strong commitment to social justice.
I aim to create a safe and inclusive space where we can work together to empower you, honor your unique experiences, and address both personal and systemic challenges.
Conditions I can help with
Anxiety
Anxiety can sometimes feel like a constant companion, making it hard to focus or find calm. Together, we can work through techniques to shift your thinking and improve symptoms.
Confidence & Self-Esteem
Confidence is something we all strive for, yet it can sometimes feel elusive or even fragile. Freedom from self-doubt and negative self-talk is achievable. We can cultivate a more compassionate and positive way of helping ourselves and keep the inner saboteur at bay.
Trauma
Trauma is a complex experience, but relief is possible. It’s not just about the event itself, but how it impacts your emotions, behaviors and physical health. EMDR is one way to address different kinds of trauma. Waitlist for Fall 2025.
Depression
At its core, depression is not about "just feeling sad." It’s a deeper, more persistent sense of sadness, hopelessness, or numbness that can make everything feel like an uphill battle. Little by little, it is possible to heal and regain a sense of joy and peace.
Life Transitions
A major change in your personal, professional, or relational life can bring mixed emotions and a sense of uncertainty, leading to feelings of stress, confusion, loss, and excitement. I can help with identifying coping strategies to make this special time in your life feel manageable.
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from the emotional distress caused by traumatic or overwhelming life experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR helps the brain process and release stored memories that can keep us feeling stuck, anxious, or triggered—often without needing to go into all the details of what happened.
I use EMDR in a gentle, supportive way, always at your pace and with your comfort at the center of the process. It can be especially helpful for those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, grief, or difficult relationship dynamics. Many clients describe EMDR as a way to finally move forward and feel more grounded in their day-to-day lives.

I founded Confianza Psychotherapy in 2024 with the mission of increasing access to high-quality, culturally attuned mental health care. I believe therapy should be a collaborative and empowering space, and I use an integrative approach to meet your needs—not just what’s written in a manual.
Whether we’re working through trauma, navigating identity, or building new coping skills, my goal is to support you with compassion, creativity, and care.
